From December 1, 2020, through August 2021 CRC assisted 494 city residents with getting caught up and back on track from struggling with loss of income due to Covid-19. As the distribution of the 1.5 million was completed, the City of Topeka dedicated another $400,000.00 in funding exclusively for mortgage arrearage payments. This is to help homeowners in Topeka who are struggling to catch up on overdue mortgage payments from loss of income. Applicants must be city residents, have Covid related outstanding mortgage arrearages due after March 2020 to the present. There are annual income guidelines. Call Community Resources Council at (785)233-1365 to see if you qualify and schedule appointments.
