Kansas Holistic Defenders

The July Tenant Spotlight is located in our Avondale East CARE Center. Kansas Holistic Defenders is a nonprofit organization,  currently serving Douglas and Shawnee County. At Kansas Holistic Defenders, they envision a future where effective, zealous, and comprehensive representation is accessible to all poor and working-class individuals. By empowering those they serve and confronting systemic barriers to justice, they will create safe, inclusive, and thriving communities for everyone. One way they serve our community at Kansas Holistic Defenders is the Topeka Family Legal Project, providing free legal assistance for Shawnee County families with minor children facing legal challenges related to housing, education, public benefits, and other civil legal matters.
